They call her Mississippi
But she don’t flow to me
Spends her light on the Bayou
But she don’t come to see
She’s the one that makes my dreams
They call her Mississippi
But she don’t flow to me
The shape of her horizon
Makes the morning sun
When she puts her eyes on
Each and anyone
She’s the one that makes me fall
Midnight moon shines through it all
She’s the one that makes me fall
Midnight moon shines through it all
She’s the one that makes my dreams
They call her Mississippi
But she don’t flow to me
They call her Mississippi
But she don’t flow to me
if i told you things i did before
told you how i used to be
would you go along with someone like me
if you knew my story word for word
had all of my history
would you go along with someone like me
i did before and had my share
it didn’t lead nowhere
i would go along with someone like you
it doesn’t matter what you do
who you were hanging with
we could stick around and see this night through
and we don’t care about the young folks
talkin’ bout the young style
and we don’t care about the old folks
talkin’ ’bout the old style too
and we don’t care about our own folks
talkin’ ’bout our own stuff
all we care about is talking
talking only me and you
usually when things has gone this far
people tend to disappear
no one would surprise me unless you do
i can tell there’s something goin’ on
hours seem to disappear
everyone is leaving i’m still with you
it doesn’t matter what we do
where we are going to
we can stick around and see this night through
and we don’t care about the young folks
talkin’ bout the young style
and we don’t care about the old folks
talkin’ ’bout the old style too
and we don’t care about our own folks
talkin’ ’bout our own stuff
all we care about is talking
talking only me and you
and we don’t care about the young folks
talkin’ bout the young style
and we don’t care about the old folks
talkin’ ’bout the old style too
and we don’t care about our own faults
talkin’ ’bout our own style
all we care about is talking
talking only me and you
(repeat)
talking only me and you

‘The Pharcyde’ is a alternative rap quartet with often discrimatory sounding lyrics. Some people could find there music offensive, but some have related there music to many very sucessful artists.
In my personal opinion there music is very interesting, and some of there songs can be very entertaining to listen to. As well many of there songs have similar sounds to many of my favorite artists; K’naan, k-os and other amazing hip hop artists who actually have something to say, but in my personal opinion they sound more like Insane Clown Posse or Southpark Mexicans. So if you can look past some of the lyrics – the musical talent can actually be heard.
Morcheeba released there film album titled; “Who Can You Trust” in 1996 and since then has had many changes within the band itself. It has changed lead vocalists from Skye Edwards to Daisy Martey but is still making encredible music. The work on there fifth album is almost complete it is the follow-up to ‘The Antidote’, entitled ‘Dive Deep’. The album is packed with exciting collaborations and will be released in 2007. >>Morcheeba website<<
